About Us
The Blackwater Select Opportunities program was built by Jeff Austin, Doron Davidov and Ilan Assayag. Blackwater Capital Management was started in 2005 and is registered with the NFA as a Commodity Trading Advisor. The team has over 60 years of experience building and trading global macro models with over 500 million in assets at times.
Jeff Austin
CEOMr. Austin has more than 20 years experience trading the global futures and foreign exchange markets. Mr. Austin started his professional career working in the currency pits of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. He also worked at Morgan Stanley, Rotella Capital, and Eagle Trading Systems. He received his BA in Economics from the University of Virginia in 1994.
Doron Davidov
Head of ResearchMr. Davidov has over 30 years experience in the financial markets, developing trading models for global diversified futures markets. He began his career in 1988 at Tiverton Trading Inc., and joined Eagle Trading Systems Inc. at its foundation in 1994, as a senior systems developer. He was responsible for maintaining current systems and developing new models. Mr. Davidov received his BSc and MSc from Ben Gurion University, in Math and Computer Science, in 1986.
Ilan Assayag
CTOMr. Assayag is a developer and data scientist, with over 25 years of experience building and maintaining complex software systems and leading software teams. Prior to joining Blackwater, Mr. Assayag developed novel trading strategies that combine traditional trend following models and Machine Learning. Mr. Assayag has a BA and MSc in Computer Science from Reichman University.
